First though, let's get the outfit talk out of the way. Since I knew I would be on my feet standing and walking a lot that day I wanted to dress up but still be a little casual and comfortable. I went with a flowy top, from Cotton On which was a gift, and even though it had longer sleeves than really appropriate for Florida summers, the material was sheer and light enough so I would get heat stroke. My jeans are from Hollister and have been with me for about two and a half years now ever since the days when I used to work there. The flats, I must say at the most comfortable pair of flats I've ever owned and I got them from Forever 21. Best. Purchase. Ever. (Well, definitely in the top ten.) Another great purchase was that backpack I got from Target, it is pretty much my bucket bag of everything I think I could ever need and it does not even get that heavy and since I got it in black it goes with pretty much everything I wear (meaning I wear it with everything I own). Also, thanks to Eric for being a trooper and taking all of my photos for me in an extremely public place.

There were two smaller attractions within the building of the Orlando Eye which are the Sea Life Aquarium and Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. Both were very entertaining and fun to go through and if you really wanted to get into it there were activities and quests to do within the aquarium. Eric and I were a little late to get to the Eye and the last entrance for both the aquarium and the museum were at 7PM that night so sadly, we had to rush through the aquarium. We still enjoyed it though and were able to take tons of photos. My favorite in the aquarium was the section with all of the jellyfish, they just looked so beautiful moving around together as well as the final section when you could touch sea anemones and watch their reactions to human touch. The water that they stay in was extremely cold and I could not leave my hand in there for too long without thinking it was going to freeze.
The wax museum was really cool and they had pretty much anyone you could think of there from Ponce de Leon to Andy Warhol to Beyonce. It was a little freaky seeing how realistic the people look and at first I did not want to touch them because, I mean, who wants to accidentally see a wax figure come to life. (Or was I just overreacting?) Eventually I did though, and they just feel extremely hard and stiff even though the exterior looks like actual skin.
Afterwards, we grabbed dinner at Yard House, which I had really been wanting to try out. It was delicious, Eric ordered their Jambalaya and I got the Pastrami Breakfast Burger. The portions were giving, especially with my burger and honestly I was unable to finish my food, I highly recommend their truffle fries. We did however, still have room for a little dessert so we ordered a mini lemon souffle cake that we shared, which I think may have been the best part of dinner.
It was a great night spent out dressing up, exploring, and eating and I am very happy about the new additions brought to Orlando. If you guys happen to visit the Eye as well, share your experiences with me! Till next time.
