Pinterest Win!

Friends, I tried out a recipe from Pinterest, and guess what? I didn't fail! Not gonna lie, going into this all I could think of were those pictures of failed attempts at DIYs from Pinterest and the actual outcome ends up pretty scary to look at. Well as the title says, this one was a win!

Now don't get me mistaken here, I know how to bake and follow instructions as well, it had just been a while since I last had so I wasn't sure if my skills were up for it. My little, Alexa, and I wanted to have a baking day but we did not really plan what we wanted to make a head of time so when I went over to her place we just started going through our recipe boards on Pinterest and we decided on Nutella Lava Cookie Cups. (Quite a mouthful, I know, but a very delicious one.)

I got the recipe off of the Table for Two blog, here. We followed the recipe pretty closely except that Alexa already had chocolate chunks instead of chips and we just used those. Not gonna lie, I always have way more fun doing the actual prep and baking than getting to the part of actually eating the food. I was very happy I actually went over to Alexa's house to make these because she owned a stand mixer which I do not have at my house and it really helped make the process much easier. We didn't use the stand mixer to incorporate the chocolate chunks into the batter and we both had to switch off because it hurt our arms, so we can only imagine how hard it would have been to do that with mixing all of the dough. Eventually I will learn to make a printable version of the recipe to already insert here but until then, just use the linked website above. I think the next time I make these, I'm gonna try putting peanut butter inside instead of Nutella. Don't forget to share if you guys try this out yourselves, till next time!
