Many people share their favorites monthly, but here I think I'll just share them whenever I have enough to share four significant favorites. Of course, if you haven't figured out my love for food yet, my first will be my four favorite food places.
1 // Vespr Craft Coffee & Allures
Having been a frequent visitor of Vespr since it first opened, I am quite happy to see how they've grown in a follower base and its connections with the community. I was just starting my wonderful journey into experimenting with coffee when I first visited Vespr, so I was not the biggest fan of theirs initially but boy was I wrong. Returning again a couple months later I discovered their Barrel Smoked Sweet Iced Tea, and my life was changed. They smoke the ice and serve it to you with the tea and syrup separate so you can decide exactly how you want it to taste. If you want something with more of a caffeine kick, my favorite is their Madagascar Vanilla latte, I'm usually not a fan of vanilla flavored drinks but I don't know if it's the sugar on the straw/cup (depending on whether you order it iced or hot) or the owner Ed just having magical tastebuds when he created this drink, but it is magical. It's not too sweet but the sour/bitterness that coffee can sometimes have is nonexistent and you are able to enjoy the full flavor.
2 // The Soda Fountain
Let's all give out a scream, because who doesn't love ice cream?! The Soda Fountain reminds me of those 1960s ice cream shops I have seen on television during my childhood. They have floats, sundaes, egg creams, milkshakes, and of course scooped iced cream. Their ice cream flavors are switched out and I've never seen any of the non-traditional flavors still there the next time I visit. My favorites are their sorbets, just because I prefer the lighter feeling after eating them. I must also say, the prices are very low and the servings are very giving. Just to share, I am a very slow ice cream eater, so if you are as well try to avoid ordering a cone. It did not end well when I did.
Stardust is hands down my favorite coffee shop in the Greater Orlando area. There are lots of tables and outlets making it perfect for a day spend doing work or studying and they not only have more than a handful of drink options but a full menu as well. I feel like that's what truly won me over was the full menu, not surprising. My favorite is their Crispin Glover, which is their version of a chicken pesto sandwich. It comes with a salad and a large portion for the sandwich, I usually eat it at two separate times since one half is enough for a meal and I like to stay there all day to do schoolwork.
With a complete community in Orlando with so many Asian restaurants, I just could not share my favorite of them all. Dim sum has only been a part of my life for a year now but I am obsessed with is and every Sunday when my family eats out, this is all I crave. The restaurant my family frequents for dim sum is named Chan's, in the middle of Viet Town in Orlando. A lot of my friends who also eat dim sum have never really heard of this restaurant but one of my best friends introduced me to Chan's and I'm also tried other restaurants and I still always come back here. I feel like they have the best selection even when you go in the middle of the week and with very affordable prices especially for dim sum when you end up ordering multiple plates because of how small they are and addictive.
I hope you all enjoyed my first favorite four, and if any of you have been to these places or are in the Greater Orlando area you should try these out and tell me what you think! Till next time guys!
