H(P)igh(e) Five

It's currently the beginning of finals week at my university and of course, I'm trying to procrastinate and avoid studying. So I'll share with you guys a new pizza joint I tried out last week, it's call Pie Five and it's one of the many new food places popping up in the UCF area.

With all of the new food places opening up recently the overall theme seems to be the "we will make it your way" for most of them. This place is definitely no exception to that, they will make you and pizza pie or salad for just $6.99. There is another pizza place in the area, Lazy Moon, that has been in the around for years now, but the difference between the two is that at the first one, you just order a giant slice of pizza (and by giant, I mean bigger than my head) and you choose all the toppings you want put on it. Whereas here, it's a personal pizza pie that you get. I have to say, for the price comparison between the two, I feel like Pie Five is better, but it seems that having a slice at Lazy Moon is just a rite of passage for all students that go to UCF. The other major difference between the two, is at you get to put as much as you want at Pie Five, but at Lazy Moon, you pay for each topping (though they do have a bigger selection).

For my first visit, I went all out. I ordered the deep dish, now I'm not a huge fan of marinara sauce so instead I made my base Alfredo sauce (Best. Decision. Ever.) and I put on pepperoni, spinach, and banana peppers (pretty much my order at Lazy Moon, sans the Alfredo sauce and spinach, so I could compare). I have to say, the Alfredo sauce made it better by a tenfold. I also ordered a dessert because they had a combo deal and I got there peanut butter chocolate chip cookie (not pictured). Now have you heard of anything that sounded better than that? It's pretty much a chocolate chip cookie filled with peanut butter and it was heaven in my mouth.

I definitely like the vibes from the place, it's very open and there are a lot of windows so lots of light gets in and you feel like you can just sit and relax and take your time to eat all of the food you've just gotten. I definitely will be coming back, especially because I've been craving it ever since I left last. If you guys try it out, be sure to share your experiences with me! Till next time!
